The Role
We’re looking for a Communication Coordinator to own and optimize customer-facing email and text message communications across our credit builder products, with a growing emphasis on AI-enabled lifecycle marketing and content generation.
You’ll be the connective tissue between Product, Customer Support, Analytics, and Content — identifying where better, smarter communication can drive engagement, reduce confusion, and improve the overall customer experience. You’ll also help orchestrate and continuously improve AI-driven messaging workflows that scale personalization across the customer lifecycle.
This is a high-impact role for someone who’s energized by learning new systems, spotting gaps before they become problems, and building things that didn’t exist before.
What You’ll Do
- Identify communication gaps and opportunities across the credit builder product lifecycle — from onboarding and activation through billing, payments, and account management.
- Build and manage email and text message campaigns and automated flows in Iterable, including trigger logic, segmentation, scheduling, and A/B testing.
- Orchestrate lifecycle marketing AI agents that assist with message drafting, personalization, timing recommendations, and experimentation across email and SMS.
- Leverage AI-generated content thoughtfully, working alongside human writers to test, refine, and scale messaging while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and brand tone.
- Collaborate with Product to deeply understand current features and upcoming releases, translating product changes into timely, clear, and increasingly personalized customer communications.
- Partner with Customer Support to surface recurring pain points and proactively address them through targeted messaging and AI-assisted communication flows before they become support tickets.
- Work with Analytics to define audience segments, build delivery lists, and measure campaign performance against engagement, retention, and customer success goals.
- Coordinate with our Content Writer to define messaging strategy, tone, and guidelines for both human- and AI-generated copy across email and SMS channels.
- Monitor deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, conversion metrics, and AI experiment performance — continuously optimizing flows based on data and learnings.
- Maintain a communication calendar and ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints, human- and AI-driven.
- A sharp, curious self-starter who takes initiative and doesn’t wait to be told what to do next.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional workstreams and automated systems simultaneously.
- Comfort working with data — you don’t need to be an analyst, but you should be able to read dashboards, interpret results, and make decisions based on what the numbers tell you.
- Clear, concise written communication skills and an eye for how messaging (including AI-generated messaging) lands with real customers.
- A genuine interest in fintech, consumer finance, or credit building — you’ll need to learn the products inside and out.
- Willingness to learn new tools and systems quickly, including AI-powered marketing tools; we’ll invest in your growth if you bring the drive.
- 1–2 years of experience in email/SMS marketing, lifecycle communications, CRM, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Iterable, SendGrid, Twilio, or similar messaging platforms.
- Experience with marketing automation, audience segmentation, or experimentation frameworks and tools like Braze, Clevertap, or Customer.io.
- Exposure to AI tools for content generation, workflow automation, or lifecycle marketing orchestration.
- Background in fintech, banking, or financial services.
