Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide database/warehouse expertise in database architecture, design, development, implementation, storage, retrieval and data flow
  • Optimize through performance tuning, troubleshooting and administration
  • Manage Azure SQL Database, Postgres (in AWS) and Snowflake environments
  • Holistically analyze issues from the application tier to the database and storage
  • Develop and implement strategies for disaster recovery, data recovery and contingency planning
  • Ensure database/warehouse systems’ high availability, reliability and observability
Requirements & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, advanced degree a plus
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Azure SQL Database (MS SQL) and/or Postgres.
  • Snowflake design/administration experience a plus
  • Azure and/or AWS experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with SQL, TSQL technologies
  • Ability to write, troubleshoot and optimize complex TSQL queries and stored procedures
  • Experience and understanding of Data Cleansing and structures
  • Technical expertise in data models, database design, ETL development, and data mining
  • Postgres write-ahead log is a preferred experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
